OSHKOSH (NBC 26) -- The Oshkosh Police Department is promoting a new app to report non-emergency situations.

The department partnered with the phone app team Relay for people to report non-emergency cases, as well as receive neighborhood safety updates.

The full application's name is "Relay: Neighborhood Safety." Through their website, the development team partners with law enforcement agencies in the United States to provide a way for local authorities to communicate with the communities they serve and vice versa.

The Oshkosh Police Department mentions in a Facebook post how this app allows users to submit photos for non-emergency incidences and see the progress of their report. In addition, users can even keep an eye on other reports in their neighborhood through a map feature.

Oshkosh Police are encouraging people in the area to use the app to stay connected. CLICK HERE to download the Relay app.
