OSHKOSH (NBC 26) — UPDATE: Oshkosh Police now say the 22-year-old man who was found dead Saturday near the railroad tracks, has been identified as Dylan C. Drexler. The investigation is still ongoing but at this time police say no criminal activity is suspected.

The Oshkosh Police Department is currently investigating an incident in which a man was discovered dead on the railroad tracks in the area of Washington Avenue and Broad Street in Oshkosh.

Today at around 2 a.m., the Oshkosh Police Department received a call from Canadian National Railroad, the caller stating that as the train was traveling south through the area of Washington Avenue and Broad Street, the train "hit something" but they "weren't sure what it was," officials said.

When officers arrived on the scene, they eventually discovered a body, which was soon identified as a 22-year-old male from Oshkosh.

His death does not appear suspicious at this time, officials say. Investigators from the Oshkosh Police Department and the Winnebago County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate this incident.
