OSHKOSH (NBC 26) — The Oshkosh Police Department has a new K9.
The department announced the new addition on Friday. The dog, known as K9 Fritz, is a 4 year old Malinois that is from Holland. The police department says he is a dual purpose dog certified in both Narcotics Detection and Patrol work.
In training he completed tracking, area searches, building searches, suspect apprehension and narcotics detection.
K9 Fritz is assigned to Officer Rukamp and they will be working 3rd shift.
