OSHKOSH (NBC 26) — Oshkosh Defense has been awarded a $942.9 million contract to update a weapon defense system for the U.S. Army.
The company said Friday that it has been awarded the nearly $1 billion contract to integrate a 30MM Medium Caliber Weapon System (MCWS) onto the Stryker Double V Hull Infantry Carrier Vehicle (ICVVA1).
Oshkosh Defense said in a statement that this upgrade will provide "precision lethality capability" to the Army’s Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT) while maintaining its mobility and survivability.
