OSHKOSH (NBC 26) — Festivities for the Fourth of July are starting to make their return in Oshkosh.
In previous years, the city would celebrate the Fourth of July with Sawdust Days, but due to budget concerns, Sawdust days ended in 2019.
This year would have marked 50 years of Sawdust Days and to celebrate, the Oshkosh Parks Department arranged for some family-friendly activities to take place at Menominee Park.
There will be a food truck rally with 14 trucks located throughout the park from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The food trucks will feature a variety of choices to please all palates. In addition to the rally, concessions will be available at the Reetz Ball Diamonds from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and also at the LakeFly Café from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The Menominee Park Train will be operating from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and water equipment rentals will also be available.
The days' events will be topped off with the Festival Foods Fireworks Show which starts at dusk. The rain date for the firework show is scheduled for Tuesday, July 5.
