Orangetheory Fitness says it's offering a free class to people named "Britney" as a way to honor the "Free Britney" movement.
"As a female co-founded brand, Orangetheory can’t help but acknowledge monumental step forward for Britney and all strong creative females who value their independence," the fitness company said in a statement. "Orangetheory champions a more vibrant life for all… now get to work. Next week, it is all about #FreeBritneys."
The promotion runs through this Friday at participating Orangetheory Fitness studios nationwide.
The #FreeBritney movement stems from pop star Britney Spears' ongoing legal battle over her conservatorship. Spears has been under the conservatorship for more than a decade.
Earlier this summer, Britney testified that her father was guilty of conservator abuse. Last week, Britney Spears’ father agreed to step down as conservator of the pop star’s estate.
In a statement promoting free classes, Orangetheory Fitness said the classes were "honor of the recent #FreeBritney victory."
