GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — One of Northeast Wisconsin's favorite attractions has officially opened up for the season.
On Saturday, families were able to take advantage of the sunny day and head out to Bay Beach Amusement Park.
This family-fun attraction brought out kids of all ages to ride all the fun carnival rides.
Children describe what it was like to ride one of their favorites, the Zippin Pippin.
“Very scary, but also fun. Also, if you want to stick your hands in the air, then usually you can only do it for like a couple of seconds at a time, because then you want to hold on,” said 10-year-old Natalie.
“Then there are two hills that are really high,” added 10-year-old Owen.
One woman visiting Green Bay from Europe shares what it’s like to be here for the first time.
“I’m from Italy. It’s my very first day at the Green Bay amusement park and I really wanted to ride the roller coaster. So I’m so excited to be here. I didn’t think it was so exciting and when I got up it was like ah," said Valeria Boba.
Before making plans to head over to Bay Beach this summer, be sure to check hours online as this year the amusement park will be having shorter hours due to staffing shortages.
