GREEN BAY (NBC26) — Green Bay police are investigating a shooting that sent one person to the hospital and put four nearby schools in precautionary lockdowns.

Police said a 20-year-old man was shot Friday afternoon in the 100 block of Gray St. They said the man was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said no one is in custody for the shooting, but said they believe it was a targeted incident. They said they don't believe the public is in danger at this time.

According to the Green Bay Schools Twitter account, the incident put Elmore and Lincoln Elementary Schools , Franklin Middle School and West High School in a "secure the building, outside situation" lockdown. Students were eventually dismissed as normal.

The 100 block of Gray Street is still taped off as police continue to investigate the incident.

This is a developing story.
