GREEN BAY, Wis. (NBC 26) -- America's Dairyland is in the spotlight.
"It's something that is kind of a once-in-a-lifetime experience," Green Bay area resident Sean Loughney said. "The Ryder Cup probably will never be here [again] and it's like the best golfers in the whole world."
In just a few days, one of golf's biggest events took place in Wisconsin, the Badgers took on Notre Dame in Chicago, and the Packers play on national television.
It's a weekend that's kept fans like Loughney glued to the television.
"It's really cool being able to just kind of join the whole country together into Kohler, Wisconsin," Loughney said. "And I think it's an honor for it to be in Wisconsin."
But with primetime football and golf, it's been tough for some to keep track of all the action.
"I've kind of been flipping back and forth, but the Badger game was kind of hard to watch, so I kind of kept watching the Ryder Cup," Loughney said.
Jesse Jenson drove up from Eau Claire to watch the weekend's festivities.
"You just find a way, you make time for it," Jenson said. "It's Wisconsin sports."
And for some, the limelight is even closer to home.
"It's in Sheboygan, 45 minutes down the road from here," Jenson said. "Beautiful, beautiful landscape. Obviously, the Americans are taking over."
And with one more game to go, Jenson wants to end the last few days on a high note.
"We just need the Pack to find a way to bring it home for us tonight, cap off a good weekend," he said.
