OCONTO FALLS (NBC 26) — The search for a missing man ended tragically when his body was found in the Oconto River, police said Thursday.
Oconto Falls Police Department said Jason Samsa, 34, of Oconto Falls, was reported missing by his fiancé Thursday morning when he didn't return home from work.
Police cited witness reports which indicated Samsa was last seen in the area of ST Paper in the woods walking towards the Oconto River. Oconto Falls Police Department and other agencies conducted a search along the Oconto River from the point of Samsa's last known location.
Around 1:52 pm, police said authorities found Samsa deceased in the water.
This incident is still under investigation and additional details of the incident are not being released at this time.
