OCONTO COUNTY (NBC 26) — A 76-year-old Oconto Falls man died in a crash Monday.
According to the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened late Monday morning on Highway 41 and County Road A in the Town of Little River.
The Sheriff's Office said A white sedan, operated by a 19-year-old Lena man was traveling southbound on Highway 41 when a red sedan operated by a 76-year-old Oconto Falls man attempted to cross Highway 41 eastbound from County Road A.
The Sheriff's Office said the white sedan then struck the red sedan in the southbound lanes of Highway 41. The driver of the white sedan was treated and released from the hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the red sedan was transported by ambulance and later died of his injuries. The deceased has been identified as Manfred Maass.
The crash remains under investigation.
