SURING (NBC 26) — The Oconto County District Attorney is reopening the investigation into an incident involving the searching of students at Suring High School.
Late Friday afternoon, the Oconto County Sheriff's Office said Sheriff Skarban received a request from the Oconto County District Attorney’s office to reopen the investigation.
The sheriff's office said it has requested a meeting with the District Attorney’s office to obtain further information on their request. A meeting date has not yet been established, according to the sheriff's office.
This new request comes after the district attorney had previously announced he would not be filing charges in the incident.
