GREEN BAY — For the first time in more than three decades, Northeast Wisconsin Technical College is getting a new look.
On Tuesday, NWTC unveiled their new logo and tagline of "Soar Higher", which came from the students.
Gone is the wave logo, replaced by a logo with forward and upward movement to represent the “soar higher” attitude. The shield design also has a special meaning.
"So, when a student for some reason does not succeed, the first question we ask ourselves is what could we as a college have done differently? How could we have, shielded them?” said Northeast Wisconsin Technical College President, Dr. Jeff Rafn. "Those are the first questions, not what did the student do wrong? And that's partly what this logo and ‘soar higher’ reflects."
The new logo is on display around NWTC's three campuses in Green Bay, Marinette and Sturgeon Bay.
