There is again a shortage of coin across America.
This time the shortage is due to an increase in demand as businesses and consumers become more active, according to North Shore Bank.
To help increase local supply, North Shore Bank is offering individuals free coin counting and exchange in all branches through the end of June.
"As a community bank, North Shore Bank is excited to offer this free service to customers and non-customers," said Katie Presser, an area manager for the bank. "It's one way that we can give back and help get coin back in circulation."
Coins collected will be shipped back to the Federal Reserve to get them back into circulation, Presser said.
"All of our locations are open," she said. "All of our locations have the coin counters, which is a bit unique to North Shore Bank. And this is a way that we can easily have a positive impact with this coin shortage."
Headquartered in Brookfield, North Shore Bank has locations in Appleton, Door County, Menasha, Green Bay and surrounding areas.
