Imagine this - a home game at Lambeau Field without tailgates.

Unfortunately, this year that has become a reality.

For the next two Packers home games, no fans will be allowed to enter Lambeau Field or its parking lots, due to COVID-19 concerns. That includes the Packers Pro Shop, Packers Hall of Fame and 1919 Kitchen and Tap.

“Lambeau Field will not be the same without our fans’ energetic support in the stands,” said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy last month.

There is one glimmer of positive news, as Titletown is expected to reopen open for the foreseeable future.

As a reminder, season ticket holders should have or will receive instructions about the ticket-purchasing process at a later date.

Only "essential participants" like players, coaches, staff and others will be allowed to attend the home games in-person.

The Packers face the Detroit Lions on Sept. 20 at Lambeau and the Atlanta Falcons on Oct. 5., at Lambeau.

Whether fans can attend their third home, against the Minnesota Vikings on Nov. 1, is still up to debate. The team says that depends on the state of the coronavirus at that time.
