APPLETON (NBC 26) — No one is injured after a fire Sunday night at a residence in Appleton, according to the Appleton Fire Department.
In a media release, Battalion Chief Jeff Felauer said crews were dispatched around 7:45 p.m. to a residential structure fire in the 1700 block of North Division.
Light smoke could be seen from the second story of the woodframe house, Felauer said. Everyone inside evacuated.
Felauer said fire crews extinguished the small fire and brought it under control within 10 minutes.
Damage to the building and its contents is estimated at $10,000.
Felauer said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
"The Appleton Fire Department would like to remind residents to know two ways out of every room. It is important to know two ways out in case one is blocked or dangerous," Felauer said in a statement.
