DE PERE (NBC 26) — De Pere High School has been ranked as one of the best high schools in the United States, according to a ranking released by U.S. News & World Report.
According to U.S. News & World Report, the rankings include data on nearly 24,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. Nearly 18,000 schools were ranked on six factors based on their performance on state assessments and how well they prepare students for college.
De Pere High School ranked 1,536 on the list. De Pere High School is ranked 37th in Wisconsin, according to U.S. News & World Report. The report cites the ability of De Pere students to participate in Advanced Placement classes.
The report overview says the AP participation rate at De Pere High School is 45%. The total minority enrollment is 13%, and 20% of students are economically disadvantaged.
The report also ranks De Pere High School as number one among Green Bay metro area high schools.
