New phone app teaches young children how to dial 911

The Center for Childhood Safety has launched a new app to help kids as young as 4 years old.

The app, Kids Practice 911 Dialer, helps parents is set to help parents arm kids with skills to help in case of an emergency. It teaches them to place 911 calls using animated lessons. It also includes a simulator that operates like a real phone.

Children make the call and are prompted to provide their name, address and phone. Number and are given directions on how to proceed. The app can be used by teachers, police officers and parents.
