NEW LONDON (NBC 26) — The school district of New London is waiving most student fees for the upcoming school year.
It's an effort to provide some relief and acknowledge the extra responsibility for education that families took on during the pandemic.
“Looking at this past year and all the hard work not only our district but our students and families have put in and recognizing that fees are something that is part of all of our students when they come back to school. So, waiving our back-to-school enrollment forms and activity fees for students was acknowledged,” said Scott Bleck, the New London School District Superintendent.
Students won't have to pay for textbooks, workbooks, activity fees, or parking permits in the upcoming school year.
