MENASHA — A major trail connection in the works for many years opened Tuesday in Menasha.
The five-mile trail connects the east and west side of Menasha safely.
Menasha Mayor Don Merkes says trails like the Trestle Trail and The Loop are great economic and tourism drivers.
The new trail will be an extension of the Fox Cities Paper Trail.
“This will allow people both tourists and residents to get out and enjoy nature, enjoy some light physical activities, be healthy, and enjoy the outdoors,” said Mayor Merkes.
Merkes says the trail cost half a million dollars.
