BROWN COUNTY — A new criminal charge has been filed against a woman allegedly connected to the disappearance of Victoria Prokopovitz.

Kathryn Friday faces a new charge of felony bail jumping. A criminal complaint filed on Thursday said Kathryn Friday used James Prokopovitz’s sister as a third party to contact him in jail, which was a violation of a no-contact order.

James Prokopovitz is currently in custody, accused of killing his wife, Victoria. Kathryn Friday has been identified as James’ girlfriend. Both Kathryn and James are accused of lying to authorities.

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office says James reported Victoria missing on April 26, 2013. In the past, Victoria’s family has told NBC 26 she vanished from her Pittsfield home, last seen April 25th, and left her purse, wallet and cigarettes behind.
