GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — The Green Bay Botanical Garden is featuring a new art exhibit on display this weekend.

Stitches & Stems is a two-day exhibit starting this Friday. It features more than 200 fiber art and embroidery pieces created by and presented in partnership with Women Who Run With Scissors and Green Bay Area Embroiders’ Guild of America.

The exhibit is free to everyone and will be located in the Schneider Education Center at the Garden. If attendees also wish to walk through the Garden, a purchase of daily admission is required.

Beautifully designed and hand-embroidered pieces and art quilts will be on display along with some small items for sale, a silent auction, rummage sale items and raffle baskets.

Members of both groups will be on hand to answer guests’ questions during the exhibit. To learn more about the Garden and this exhibit, call 920-490-9457 or visit GBBG.org/Stitches.

The exhibit runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
