NEENAH, Wis. (NBC 26) -- One Northeast Wisconsin city is honoring its very own olympian.
The Neenah City Council presented a Citation of Recognition for town native Maddie Wanamaker.
She is currently in Tokyo representing Team USA as a member of the women's four rowing team at the Olympics.
Her parents were in Neenah to accept the honor.
"People we don't even know, like a neighbor's sister, sent a card," Mother Janet Wanamaker said. "It's just really kind of amazing to be a part of a community like this."
