NEENAH, Wis. (NBC 26) -- The Neenah Animal Shelter is asking for donations for a dog with two broken legs.
Dorian arrived at the shelter this week with a slight hitch in his walk.
He wasn't putting pressure on his rear right leg.
X-rays revealed the puppy suffered some serious trauma resulting in two fractured tibias.
Dorian is 8-months-old so he is still growing. This is why the shelter says he needs surgery as soon as possible before the bones begin to heal incorrectly.
The doctor will place pins in both legs to correct the injury. The shelter expects Dorian to make a full recovery in 4-5 weeks.
Dorian already has a foster home lined up so he can enjoy the comforts of home while he heals.
The shelter needs $5,000 to get the surgery done.
