This year, NBC 26 is proud to partner with the Community Foundation For The Fox Valley Region to celebrate the people in the Fox Valley who go above and beyond to help make the community be a better place with their gifts of time.
There are six awards that people can be nominated for each recipient will receive $5,000 to give to a local nonprofit organization and the youth winner will receive a $1,500 scholarship and $1,000 to donate to a nonprofit of his or her choice.
"Celebrating Volunteers is a great way to lift up some of the stories of people and organizations that are really helping to provide some critical services and support to others in the community,” said Tammy Geenen, VP Community Engagement, Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region.
The nomination deadline is February 5.
