OCONTO (NBC 26) -- After being pushed back several times the National Walleye Tour is finally back on in Wisconsin.

Normally in April, the National Walleye Tour finally kicked off today in Oconto.

The event hosts 121 professional fisherman paired with a co-angler.

On the line: A $500,000 grand prize.

Organizers say despite the 3 month delay, the fisherman were only built up more anticipation for the event.

Today was the first stop in the tourney, which heads to Sault St. Marie, then N. Dakota and then Championship in Ohio.
