Multiple arrested, one injured after shooting in Sheboygan

SHEBOYGAN (NBC 26) — The Sheboygan Police Department responded to a disturbance Saturday night that lead to multiple arrests and left one person injured.

Officers reported to the 2500 block of S. Business Drive at 11:23 p.m., where witnesses said that two groups of people were involved in a fight that lead to the discharge of firearms from both groups.

One person involved in the altercation suffered two non-life threatening gunshot wounds to his lower extremities and was treated at a local hospital.

After an investigation, four people were arrested and transported to the police department. Two men from each side of the disturbance were taken to the Sheboygan County Detention Facility on criminal charges related to the event, their ages are 26, 27, 30 and 31, all are Sheboygan residents.

Pending further investigation, two men were released.

It is noted by the Sheboygan Police Department that two firearms were used during the crime, those firearms are now in police custody.

Further investigation is taking place into this incident, police are still in the process of trying to interview people who were present when the event occurred.
