ASHWAUBENON (NBC 26) — While kids filled their buckets with Halloween treats, Mother Nature was busy playing a trick on Northeast Wisconsin.
Families we talked to said this felt like one of the coldest Halloween nights they remembered. It even had a fresh blanket of snow. Still, it was a busy night.
"It seems a little odd to have snow on the ground and leaves in the trees but we make the most of it," Jackie Postl said. "We're going to have fun."
For people who didn't want to go outside, the Bay Park Square Mall welcomed hundreds of families to Mall-O-Ween. Around 70 stores handed out candy to kids.
"It's cool, it's really cool seeing everybody come out and support the community," Kyle Bergquist said. "It's really awesome. I love it. All the costumes and everything."
