MENASHA, Wis. — The wet weather is helping mosquitoes get ready to make a comeback.
At mosquito squad in Menasha experts say there are spots up north where mosquitoes are swarming.
Around Green Bay and Appleton, people will probably see swarms within a week or two. When the mosquitoes come, they will come fast and furious.
"This year it's shaping up to be a banner year, but again it's very early to say that it's going to be the same as last year. We anticipate a rough spring, and that's about as far as I'm willing to forecast," says Mosquito Squad owner Andrew Ratka.
The rest of the year will depend on heat and water. The next few weeks are unfortunately well set.
