(NBC 26) -- May 26th has been a date ingrained in many business owners' minds as the day businesses in Wisconsin were expected to be able to open. When the 'Safer at Home' order was struck down by the Wisconsin Supreme Court, some businesses chose to open up while others decided to wait.

WhiteDog BlackCat Cafe is one of the businesses that waited. Owner Nicole Greenawald said they wanted to make sure they were being careful and decided to wait a bit longer to open. She said workers will wear masks and they'll only be filling about half the tables so that people are able to social distance. She said they want to keep everyone safe.

"I want them [customers] to be comfortable and whatever way we can make them comfortable, if they want to wear a mask when they're not eating or drink and they're just handing out, perfectly fine." Greenawald said if customers don't want to wear one, that's okay too. "We're planing on mostly wearing a mask during service and to have less contact with the table but still making them feel comfortable so that's what we plan to do."

The Oneida Casino also reopened Tuesday. A line of people were waiting to get inside the Main-Airport Casino. The Main-Airport Casino, Irene Moore Activity Center (IMAC) and West Mason Casinos opened today. Only slots are open. No smoking is allowed. Some machines are off to allow people to social distance. People are asked to wear masks and get their temperature checked upon entering.

"I would hope that all our customers adhere to all the rules. It's a big change," said Louise Cornelius the Oneida Gaming General Manager,"Non-smoking being one of them and wearing a mask is huge. So it's for the protection of all our employees as well as our guests."

This is the first phase of reopening.
