WASHINGTON D.C. — Another mission from Old Glory Honor Flight arrived safely in Washington D.C. The group departed from Appleton International Airport early Wednesday morning.

Old Glory Honor Flight is an organization that provides Northeast Wisconsin military veterans the chance to see war memorials in Washington D.C. This most recent mission, dubbed Mission 57, flew 98 veterans of the Vietnam War to the nation's capital.

The organization said the flight landed safely in D.C. Organizers said veterans are enjoying a beautiful day at the WWII Memorial, taking pictures at the memorial's Wisconsin pillar.

The group is scheduled to return Wednesday evening. A "Welcome Home" celebration is set for 7:15 p.m.
