APPLETON, Wis. — The Mile of Music drew another big crowd on Saturday in downtown Appleton.
A musician we talked with said it's easy to see why this event is such a draw for artists and music lovers.
At the Mile of Music, the emphasis is on the music itself and the artists who make it.
The organizers encourage the musicians to perform their original work, and the festival encourages the crowd to listen closely.
Still, there is a party atmosphere.
It makes for an overall great experience.
"Yeah, it's great," Grand Am Band's David McMillin said. "It's an amazing community, everybody here is really happy to be involved. Everyone is so welcoming."
"It's pretty relaxed, pretty easy going, fun times, you know," Appleton's Zach Schmitt said.
There's one day left for the festival, as it wraps up on Sunday.
