OSHKOSH (NBC 26) — If you're a country music fan, live music is back at the Menominee Nation Arena this Friday night.
Tickets are still available for country music sensation the Eli Young Band. According to the arena, the opening act, Nashville-based country musician Jason Nix canceled his appearance in Oshkosh for the night.
"I don't know that it's the first in the state, but it's definitely the first big concert we've held since Covid started back in March of last year," Special Events Manager Carolynn Fields said.
The venue told NBC 26 it is only allowing around 1,400 attendees in the building, while it usually holds nearly 4,000 people at full capacity.
The arena says it will be socially distanced with several other safety protocols in mind, like face masks, adding that they're one of only a few venues in Wisconsin to bring back live music.
