MENASHA (NBC 26) — Menasha children got outside for the 45th Annual Menasha All City Grade School Track and Field Wellness Day.
After previous postponements during the past two years due to COVID-19, the annual event returned Tuesday morning to Calder Stadium. Students in grades 3 through 5 took part in traditional track events, in addition to some novelty events such as hula-hooping, frisbee throwing and jump rope.
Students also did soccer and football kicking, golf chipping, basketball free throw, softball throwing and jump jogging.
Track and Field Wellness Day is organized by the elementary school physical education teachers in the Menasha school district and the Menasha Parks and Recreation Department. The Menasha Health Department also provides support for the event.
