For many dog owners, the bond between themselves and their dog is undeniable. But for the Green Bay Police, when you work beside a K-9, the bond is even deeper.
It was decided that after the K-9, Neo, lost his battle to cancer that a memorial for all K9s of the Green Bay Police should be made.
“Having been with the Bark 'n Blue Foundation for over 10 years, Neo, who we lost 6 months ago was one of the first dogs that I met. And with him not with us anymore, it was really important to me that we showed him the honor and gratitude for all that he did for our community,” said Heather Heil, President and Founder of the Bark 'n Blue Foundation.
With the help of the Bark 'n Blue Foundation, the Green Bay Police Department K9 memorial committee has established the GBPD K-9 Memorial fund to honor our K-9 heroes. Donations can be made through the GBPD K-9 memorial Facebook page.
