GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — Meet Lucky 7 Dog Rescue, our new Three Degree Guarantee partner.
Lucky 7 Dog Rescue was founded in 2015 by three college friends, Maddy, Sam and Elizabeth when they rescued a litter of seven puppies from Houston, Texas.
The group realized that there were plenty of shelters and rescue groups in the south trying to make a difference, but there was a need for partners in the northern states to help ease the overcrowding in southern shelters.
Lucky 7 Dog Rescue was opened to help ease the burden from the south and was built to focus on positivity, inclusion, transparency and education.
Dogs are taken in from all over the country from overcrowded shelters down south, local owners who are in need, or nearby groups who may have a dog they are struggling with. No dog is turned away regardless of medical or behavioral concerns.
Operating as an entirely foster-based rescue, Lucky 7 Dog is always looking for people that are willing to foster a dog while a permanent owner is found.
The rescue team focuses on providing a great experience to adopters while utilizing the adoption process as a way to educate others and create a dog-savvy community. They take their time in the process, learning as much as they can about the dogs and what is best for them.
