Manitowoc Police search for shooting suspect, offering reward for information

MANITOWOC (NBC 26) — Manitowoc Police, in cooperation with CRIMESTOPPERS, is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for a shooting that occurred Monday evening.

It happened at around 6:49 p.m. in the 1200 block of South 20th Street in Manitowoc. Police said someone intentionally fired a gun from a vehicle at another person in that area. The victim was not harmed, however, police said projectiles did strike property in that area causing damage.

Evidence was recovered from the scene which matched both victim and witness statements. Police said based on interviews, it was determined the victim was targeted by the suspect based on a prior conflict.

Police have identified one suspect, Devonta L. Walker. Manitowoc Police said Manitowoc County SWAT officers and Manitowoc Police Department executed a search warrant at Walker's home. Police said they found evidence connected to the crime scene. Police also said another person was with Walker but has not been identified at this time.

Walker is not in custody at this time. Police said Walker does have a felony warrant through Manitowoc County Probation and Parole as well as felony charges related to this incident.
