MANITOWOC COUNTY (NBC 26) — A Manitowoc man died in a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon, the Manitowoc County Sheriff said Thursday.
Deputies and EMS responded to the crash around 1:45 p.m. on STH 147 north of Sturm Road within the Township of Mishicot.
The Sheriff said Ryan Nagy of Manitowoc was driving a 2014 Harley Davidson northbound on STH 147. The Sheriff said Nagy lost control while passing and went into the west ditch. His motorcycle overturned and Nagy was thrown off.
Authorities performed life-saving procedures, however, Nagy was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sheriff said Manitowoc County Coronor Curt Green indicated the preliminary cause of death was from a high cervical spine fracture with other blunt force traumatic injuries.
The toxicology report is still pending. The crash is still under investigation.
