ASHWAUBENON (NBC 26) — Nearly one week after a deadly shooting at the Oneida Casino complex, the only person who survived after being shot by the gunman is recovering at a Milwaukee hospital.

The GoFundMe page set up to aid in Daniel L. Mulligan's recovery has raised more than $40,000 towards the $50,000 goal for his medical expenses.

Mulligan, 28, underwent surgery at a Milwaukee hospital and is in stable condition. His sister posted an update to the GoFundMe Wednesday to say he had surgery for a G-tube and that it went well.

A 62-year-old former restaurant employee approached a waiter station at Duck Creek Kitchen and Bar within the casino complex and shot and killed 32-year-old Ian J. Simpson and 35-year-old Jacob T. Bartel, according to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office. The gunman left the restaurant and shot Mulligan, another employee.
