Man dies after shots fired on Green Bay's west side

GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — Green Bay police are investigating a shots fired case on the city's west side where a man was found dead early Saturday.

Police responded to a call around 5 a.m. at the intersection of Western Avenue and Perkins Avenue where someone reported a "person down in the street," according to a release from the Green Bay Police Department.

Officers found a 34-year-old man with significant injuries. That man was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.

Police said they believe this was an isolated incident, but do ask the public to be cautious and to report any suspicious activity to law enforcement.
