GRAND CHUTE (NBC 26) -- A man may have stolen hundreds of items from storage units in Wisconsin, Grand Chute Police say. Patrick Gene Lind is facing multiple charges in Manitowoc and Outagmie counties.

Grand Chute Police first began investigating a series of storage unit burglaries at All Seasons Storage in mid-December. Lind was identified as a suspect and police placed him under surveillance. Police say Lind was spotted at two storage facilities in Plover on January 3. Then, on January 6, Grand Chute Police say detectives witnessed a burglary in progress at a storage facility near Maribel. Lind was taken into custody that afternoon.

Police say Lind regularly traveled throughout the state and visited locations in Appleton, Menasha, Oshkosh, Green Bay, Shawano, Antigo, Wausau, Schofield, Plover, Stevens Point, Luxemburg, Manitowoc, Sheboygan, Milwaukee and Madison.

More than 600 items believed to be stolen have been identified in this investigation. Police are working to locate the owners of these items. People living throughout Wisconsin are asked to check their storage unit facilities for damage to locks or other evidence of a burglary. If you suspect a burglary, call your local law enforcement agency.

Anyone with information about the involvement of Patrick Lind in criminal activity is asked to call the Grand Chute Police Department Investigations Unit at 920-832-1575.
