LUXEMBURG (NBC 26) — A Luxemburg man is facing a child abuse charge and more charges may follow, according to authorities.
On Tuesday, a 7-year-old girl was brought to a medical facility in Green Bay and had wounds that were "consistent with physical abuse," according to the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department.
According to the sheriff's department, the facility stated that the child was unconscious and in critical condition. The child was then transported to Children’s Wisconsin in Milwaukee for continued treatment.
A Luxemburg man identified as 33-year-old Alan T. Finch was arrested for the charge of reckless physical abuse of a child. Authorities said additional charges may be forthcoming as the investigation continues.
The Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department and Kewaunee County Human Services along with members of the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation are currently conducting follow-up investigations into the matter.
