LUXEMBURG, Wis. (NBC26) — The Luxemburg-Casco School District’s Board of Education voted to remove certain COVID-19 related restrictions during a special meeting Wednesday night.
In an email sent to staff, district officials said schools would be returning to pre-COVID protocols effective immediately.
Eased restrictions include:
- Optional face coverings
- No requirements for quarantining
The email stated people experiencing fever or vomiting can return to school 24 hours after no symptoms.
As of Thursday night, the districts COVID-19 dashboard showed 14 active cases and 62 close contacts. The number of active cases make up less than 1 percent of the district's population.
NBC26 reached out to school board members and the district superintendent for comment, but didn't receive a response.
