GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- Local police recently visited Studio 44 in De Pere to get photos with dogs for a calendar to benefit the Mit Liebe German Shepherd Dog Rescue organization.

Mit Liebe German Shepherd Dog Rescue is a non-profit that runs on volunteers and donations from others.

They do not have a single location but are instead focused in the Wisconsin, Michigan, and Illinois areas. Because of the lack of a building, they ask others in the community to help foster the German Shepherd rescues until they are adopted.

Every year they put out a calendar promoting their adoptable dogs. This year they asked local police departments to help out.

Police Departments in Ashwaubenon, Green Bay, Hobart-Lawrence, and Village of Pulaski volunteered their time in order to capture amazing photos of cops with dogs. These photos were with the help of Stuido 44 in De Pere.

In addition to the donation of the officers' time, photos and printing were also paid for by Toonen Properties. This means all proceeds from buying the calendar go directly to the dog rescue!

You can buy a copy of this stunning calendar for $15 at Green Bay local Festival Foods customer service counters. They are also offering shipping for those who are unable to make it to those locations.
