GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — Tonight is the start of Hanukkah, typically a time for friends and family to gather and celebrate.
Jewish leaders say that's a little different this year. They ask families to find someone who doesn't have others to celebrate with online and check in with them virtually.
"One of the great things about Hannukah is that it lasts 8 days. Those 8 days, aside from, you can use a computer, you can use electronic devices and so Zoom becomes this amazing vehicle for family gatherings that otherwise would be pretty much impossible with COVID," said Rabbi Michoel Feinstein.
The holiday starts tonight and ends December 18.
