DE PERE (WGBA) -- Poppy Avenue Boutique is implementing new protocols this week to help limit the spread of germs. They say the coronavirus outbreak caused employees to disinfect the entire store multiple times a day.
"We are taking where everyone is primarily touching," said Audra Balof, the store owner. "We are disinfecting everything through every transaction."
Every time a customer buys something, an employee will wipe down the counter with a disinfecting wipe. They will also do that to the iPad and scanner used to purchase. Plus, they will also clean each changing room after someone uses it.
The store originally had plans to move to Appleton. They were going to hold events and sales prior to the move. However, the coronavirus forced them to change plans
"All events have been canceled for the next 30 days." Balof said.
Until they move, they will continue to use the precautions.
"With this announcement of the coronavirus we had to up our game with disinfecting and making sure the public is safe."
