OSHKOSH (NBC 26) — Local businesses in the Fox Valley are coming together for a good cause by hosting a series of pop-up shopping events beginning later this month.

Beginning January 22nd, Fifth Ward Brewing Company in Oshkosh will be hosting a winter warmer vintage market. Fifth Ward Vintage Markettakes place in both the winter and summer months. The events feature local businesses who sign up as vendors.

“The vendors bring their own inventory, they bring their own racks, they all set up, and it’s just a great time," said market coordinator Kinni Peters. "The public is welcome to come, all ages, come here, shop through small businesses and if you’re of age grab a delicious craft brew.”

Fifth Ward Vintage Market takes place at Fifth Ward Brewing Company in the summer and winter months.

Businesses will donate a portion of their proceeds to Day by Day Warming Shelter in Oshkosh and the brewery will match the vendors' contribution. This year, shoppers are invited to donate as well to be entered for prizes.

“We’re doing things a little bit differently this time around and we are taking donations for the Day by Day Warming Shelter in the form of a $5 or more donation, or hats, gloves, just things to keep our community warm,” Peters said.

While last year the winter market was mostly vintage clothing, this year it has expanded to include vintage goods. Vintage-lovers can find just about anything at the pop-up shopping events, from vintage clothing to home decor.

With the endless creativity that vendors put into their products, organizers say there’s bound to be something for everyone.

“Come ready to find some treasures because there’s always so many amazing things,” Peters said. "You’re not going to leave here empty handed so just be prepared for that.”

The winter warmer vintage market will take place on January 22nd and Febuary 26th from noon to 5 p.m. For more information, you can visit The Fifth Ward Vintage Market Facebook page.
