BROWN COUNTY, Wis. (NBC 26) -- Local businesses are getting ready for the crowds of people expected to be in Green Bay this weekend for the playoff game at Lambeau Field.
Those businesses are also looking forward to starting the new year off strong economically.
Mike Wier, the owner of Kroll's West, said once the first of the year hits, business tends to quiet down, but that won't be the case this year with the Packers playing Sunday.
The Jersey Store is also ready for a boost in business. Store manager Mike Walters said this weekend will be a big deal for them.
"I can't imagine what the fan base will be like as we get closer to the weekend, and, you know, how much excitement there will be, how much anticipation there will be," said Walters.
Hotels are also selling out for the weekend. The Hyatt Regency Green Bay's General Manager Kristine Hall said the hotel is booked both Friday and Saturday night.
