DE PERE/LEDGEVIEW AREA (NBC 26) — The cause of a building fire that broke out Friday will go down as undetermined, the Ledgeview Fire Chief said Monday.
According to Ledgeview Fire Chief Tom Guns, due to the extent of the fire's damage, investigators are unable to find the exact cause. Friday's fire destroyed a local restaurant and a church housed in the same building.
From the fire department's end, the fire chief said the investigation is now over, and the case has been turned over to the insurance company.
On Friday evening, crews responded to a fire near Swan Road and Dickinson Road in the De Pere/Ledgeview area. The building included New Hope United Methodist Church and the Chicago Street Pub.
Another church has provided a place for the New Hope congregation to worship.
