CLEVELAND, Wis. (NBC 26) — Today Lakeshore Technical College announced that students will have four new degree program options this fall: manufacturing engineering technology, digital marketing, wind technician, and residential HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) installer.
Students will also continue to learn in person in the fall.
“We are excited to welcome students into new programs and confident we will continue providing a safe and comfortable in-person learning environment as we have been since fall 2020,” said Lakeshore President Dr. Paul Carlsen. “As I stop for a moment mid-semester and look at where we stand today, I am immensely proud of the attention given to our safety protocols by staff and students. It is because of their efforts we are able to safely deliver in-person courses during this continuing pandemic."
In addition to in-person learning, students will continue having other learning options including online, iFlex®, and competency-based education (CBE), with the ophthalmic program being added to the list of programs offered via CBE. The fall semester starts August 23.
Students will be able to earn associate degrees in manufacturing engineering technology and digital marketing. Both programs can be started in August and completed in four terms.
The wind technician program can be started in August and completed in three terms. Graduates have the option of completing one additional term and earning an associate degree in wind energy technology.
The residential HVAC installer program can be started in August and completed in two terms. Graduates have the option of completing one additional term and earning a technical diploma in HVACR installation technician.
